The web talks about it:

.

The heart of the machine consists of a liquid-cooled, four-stroke engine with four valves per cylinder,
normally aspirated and both quite conventional and claiming around 79 horsepower.
In essence, it's a direct competitor to Suzuki's SV650, but it claims a bit more power.
The transmission is a six-speed manual with chain drive.

Hyosung also sells a 34 horsepower version to fit into the NSW Learner Approved Motorcycle rules.

This is the intermediate version of what will soon be a twin range: the 250, this 650,
as well as a version for motorcycle 125 whose launch is planned for the end of 2004.

Originally the chassis would be identical to that used in the 250, but we can safely assume
that some prototype testing revealed some weaknesses with the larger power unit in place.
So now we have a stronger frame with two exterior spars.
It works with triple disc brakes, all equipped with two-piston calipers,
inverted forks at the front and a rear monoshock.
The front features adjustments for compression and rebound damping,
while the rear has an adjustment for preload.

Basic measurements include a seat height of 780mm,
a curb weight of 180 kilograms and a fuel tank of 17 liters.

Since day one, we've praised Suzuki's SV650 for its wonderful blend of performance
and ease of use: the Comet falls into the same category.
The basic formula for an enthusiastic mid-size twin packed into a chassis with suspension
decent and big brakes is quite difficult to overtake.

In the case of the Hyosung, it has fairly quick steering and good stability.
The suspension on our pre-production machine was good - a touch over-damped at the front for my liking,
but quite easy to adjust.

The gearbox is free of false neutrals and has a fairly stiff action,
especially when changing gears. This could be improved, although we noticed that
the action was much more enjoyable if you slowed down your shifting technique slightly.
Neutrality was sometimes a trial.
