The web talks about it:
.
The Nissan Navara debuted in late 2007 as the most powerful pickup in its class with just
a 2.5 liter common rail diesel engine. The top-of-the-range 4x4 variant equipped with a turbocharger
high-thrust variable geometry produced 174 hp, while the base 4x2 model produced 144 hp,
this was a huge achievement for the segment as it changed the playing field for utility trucks.
Replacing the aging D22 Frontier, the D40 Navara chassis quickly climbed the sales charts
with its 8-member engine and chassis as well as suspension and handling capabilities
considerably improved.
Although it has seen changes for the 2011 model in the US and European markets with new
headlights, a reworked front end, as well as several other driving and handling improvements.
interior features. The 2011 upgrade also updated a YD25DDTi High Power engine
updated with 190 hp, a gain of 16 hp compared to the previous version.
The Navara can still boast of being the first 2-ton pickup truck with manual transmission to
six speeds with transmission ratios well suited to the 174 hp engine. It will soon be operational,
as the next generation Ford Ranger will also come with a six-speed manual transmission.
In terms of the engine, the Mitsubishi Strada equipped with VGT has already taken it out of the engine with 4 more hp but at
at the expense of 53 newton meters less torque, which is a fairly significant figure for vehicles
utility vehicles that are primarily used as workhorses. The Navara is still one of the
power plants equipped with a high-efficiency 2.5-liter CRDi engine. Road holding is little
almost the same as reviewed previously, as there have been no changes to the suspension either.
The entertainment system gives a big improvement in sound quality to the head unit of
Clarion rather inferior to the one installed originally. I personally experienced an improvement
significant upgrade of my personal Navara when I also upgraded my head unit with a
replacement unit. The first big complaint about the navigation system is the remote control rather
bulky that could be confused with a household remote control. The user interface is
also cumbersome to navigate and quite slow in terms of responsiveness, but the sound quality, as mentioned,
is a step up from the original source unit. While the WiFi feature sounded like a good
marketing idea, it would have been nice if it was an SUV or a van instead
than a van which is normally autonomous. It is very difficult, not to mention dangerous,
connect to the Internet while driving unless you plan to get stuck in traffic
every day.
