Hyosung is a Taiwanese manufacturer of motorcycles and quads mainly aimed at the Asian and European markets.
Its first attempt to enter the sport mountain bike market is the TE450.
Hyosung TE 450 is equipped with a 449cc engine with a four-valve head and a double camshaft
in the head. It weighs 172 kg, which at 51 HP makes it a very lively machine. Unfortunately,
as reported by Western journalists after press tests,
they are so lively that fear is to drive them. The suspension does not keep pace with the engine.
Shock absorber damping is weak and the suspension emits slight bumps.
Such excess power with weak suspension even triggers the quad in front without any control
on its trajectory. Additionally, the steering is too sensitive and makes it difficult to control the machine.

installing a steering damper would be a good solution.
Can the TE450 compete with 400,000 other recognized brands? Unfortunately, not like it is today.
However, the installation of good shock absorbers and wider wishbones with improved geometry would make the TE450
a real sports machine. Only the brakes deserve praise. The large rear disc behaves
very good and the same cannot be said about the front brakes which work well and
which are easily passable.
Our colleagues who have already followed the TE450 could not resist the impression that the TE450 had been
launched too quickly without completing the R &, D. Many flaws or design flaws make
makes this vehicle a difficult vehicle to drive. Nevertheless, Hyosung has an excellent foundation under the
shape of the TE450 model to create something really good with little effort.
