The second generation Panther was presented on September 6, 2000 at the 10th Auto Expo with the form
completely rounded aerodynamics of the 21st century. It is only available in station wagon version with the same
2.5L direct injection 4JA1 diesel engine than the first generation, and featured for the first time
crystal multi-reflector headlights. It is available in short wheelbase, which is available in
base SM, mid-level SV and high-grade SS trim levels, and in long wheelbase,
which is available in base LM, mid-level LV and high-grade LS. .
The long wheelbase variant is 200mm longer than the short wheelbase variant. For the first time,
the automatic transmission variant is also offered for the LS version with the engine
4JA1-L turbocharged diesel. In 2001, the top-of-the-line Touring variant was introduced as a variant
second generation sport utility vehicle tbr 54 with the same turbocharged diesel engine as
automatic transmission variant of the LS trim, two-tone exterior color with silver color kit
bodywork and front bumper guard, higher ground clearance, spare wheel fixed on the trunk and steering wheel
four-spoke (later also used on the LS version in 2003). The rear lights redesigned with
