I'm new to this forum and new to motorcycles and scooters. I took a motorcycle course. Recently,
I discovered there was a new class of scooter that could go anywhere like a motorcycle. Since then,
I have read many reviews and motorcycle forum posts that have compared favorably
experience on these larger, more powerful scooters (such as the Silverwing) with that of motorcycles.
However, since no dealer will allow me to take a test drive, I have to rely on
second-hand information to determine which scooter to buy. Just about every item and
Reviews I've read about Silverwing have been very positive. But I couldn't find a post in
this forum that had something positive to say about the Silverwing.
I assume the Silverwing is more of a touring bike than the Bergman 650 and
Atlantic 500 are more performance-oriented. Is this true? Where are the problems with the Silverwing?

Finally, a Honda dealer told me that one of their salespeople took a Silverwing out and had it
pinned at 125 mph. Is this possible or just hype?
