Volkswagen had the difficult task of replacing its LT (850,000 units sold). Mission accomplished for
German manufacturer with its Crafter, which contrasts completely with other existing models.
Its design and equipment are also highlighted.
We now know the face of the new Volkswagen Transporter. Called Crafter,
it surprises at first glance with its imposing appearance. Robustness seems to have been the line
driving style chosen by Volkswagen. This is evidenced by the four imposing bars of the grid with their
center the VW brand badge. The imposing V of the grille, which extends along two grooves
on the engine hood to frame the air inlet grille of the cabin ventilation system, is not there
not foreign either. The two optics seem to extend like a point towards the wing.
The bumper perfectly highlights the Crafter's features and provides support. Practical, the central element
of this bumper constitutes a non-slip step which can be useful when cleaning the windshield.
The sides, for their part, accentuate the dynamic appearance of the utility vehicle. The cuneiform groove adorning
the side wall emphasizes the dynamism and momentum of the Crafter. It starts in the side doors,
and widens towards the rear to end in the rear lights. The large protective strip fixed in
the lower body area passes over the prominent wheel arches and connects the bumpers
front and rear. This strip gives structure to large sheet metal surfaces and serves as protection
to the sides of the Crafter against the risk of damage. It also allows you to carry out repairs
partial: in the event of slight damage, it is not necessarily necessary to replace
a large segment of the side wall.
